Information Technology Analyst (Principal) - IT Project Manager

Responsibilities

Overseeing the successful execution and delivery of complex projects across the organization
Directing the PMO team and providing supervision and mentorship to PMO staff
Managing vendor performance and ensuring project outcomes align with IT standards and delivery framework
Implementing diverse IT projects, managing risks proactively, and resolving issues promptly
Maintaining robust communication channels with stakeholders
Enhancing the maturity and success of IT Service Delivery and Project Management practices
Promoting professional development opportunities for PMO staff and implementing best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Information Technology or related field
Six (6) years of information technology systems and/or application development and support experience including two (2) years of project lead or supervisory responsibility
Two years of lead/supervisory experience over high level senior IT Project Managers is a must
Strong leadership abilities demonstrated by effectively managing and motivating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving excellence
Experienced IT PMO Supervisor skilled in establishing PMO standards, policies, and governance frameworks that align with organizational goals, ensuring project success and continuous improvement across the portfolio
Experienced IT PMO Supervisor responsible for building a high-performing project management team through mentorship, skills development, and clear role alignment
Proven experience in IT project management, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects within a fast paced dynamic environment
Extensive knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid, and proficiency in tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and MS Project
Comprehensive understanding of program and portfolio management principles, with a track record of overseeing multiple projects and aligning them with organizational goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and provide innovative solutions
Proficiency in risk management, issue resolution, and change management processes to ensure project success and minimize disruptions
Deep technical knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and emerging technologies
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and meeting deadlines effectively
Applicants may be required to possess a valid California Driver's License, Class C
Some positions in this class will require technical certifications demonstrating expertise in specific bodies of knowledge

Project Management Professional (PMP), Project Management Institute Certification
Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) Certification and/or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® Certification
CompTIA Project+
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology Certifications
Business Process Management (BPM) certifications (e.g. Business Process Modeling & Notation, Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP))
Organizational Change Management: Prosci Change Management Practitioner; Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™); or Change Management Specialist (CMS)
