Electrical Test Technician

Responsibilities
Evaluates failed electrical assemblies, products, and components – using test and measurement equipment to determine the root cause of failure down to the component level – with strong emphasis on evaluation hands-on experience and manual test, including point-to-point Continuity Testing
Electronics troubleshooting through technical experience and knowledge – NOT through the use of pre-written step-by-step procedures (non-existent)
Has a strong sense of ownership and self-driven to meet or exceed deliverable expectations
Works with senior Electrical Engineering, test technicians, and product Quality Assurance towards evaluating, repairing, and moving failed assemblies through established Repair & Return processes
Proficient in reading and fully interpreting Assembly Drawings and Schematics
Maintains control of all Electro-static Sensitive Device (ESD) precautions and processes – ensuring full compliance to established ESD processes
Supports the culture of Continuous Process Improvements (CPI) Projects
This will be a 1st shift, onsite role
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Electrical/electronic evaluation/troubleshooting experience
Experience with use of test and evaluation measurement equipment, including (but not limited to): DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)
U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
4 years or more Electrical Test Technician experience
Electrical Test Technical School Degree
Radio Frequency RF troubleshooting experience
