Responsibilities

Investigate and evaluate bodily injury claims, ensuring accurate documentation, appropriate coverage determination, and timely exposure identification
Spearhead strategic settlement negotiations, managing relationships with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders to resolve claims
Deliver a high standard of service by communicating effectively and timely with members, brokers and claimants. Address and resolve complex or escalated customer service issues, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
Identify opportunities to improve claims handling processes and customer service practices, contributing to the department’s overall efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure that all claims are handled with company policies, state regulations, and legal requirements
Identify and investigate potential fraud or discrepancies in claims. Utilize advanced investigative techniques and collaborate with fraud detection teams to manage suspicious claims effectively

Required

Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
7+ years of experience in managing bodily injury claims, with a proven track record of handling complex, high-value claims
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex settlement discussions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to members, claimants, and attorneys
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and grow, along with the ability to quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations

Preferred

Additional certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are highly desirable
Experience in both personal injury claims and high net worth insurance is a plus
