Solutions Engineer
Tightly is an Inventory Planning & Purchasing Intelligence Platform that empowers omnichannel brands to manage their inventory and cash flow. They are seeking a Solutions Engineer who will support the sales process by leveraging technical skills to navigate data challenges and ensure accurate data translation for prospective customers.

Responsibilities
Lead Technical Pilots & PoCs: Own the most critical phase of the sales cycle. You will guide the prospect through the data ingestion process, ensuring the Tightly platform accurately models their business logic before the deal is closed
Bridge the Data Gap: While our platform handles the heavy lifting, you will use your technical skills (SQL, Python) to troubleshoot edge cases. If a customer's data format doesn't match the system of record, you find the fix to unblock the deal
Be a "Force Multiplier" with AI: We believe in efficiency. You will use modern tools like Claude and Gemini to write quick scripts, debug data errors, or analyze file structures, allowing you to move faster than a traditional engineer
Build Confidence in the Plan: You will be the face of technical reliability. You will explain to stakeholders how Tightly interprets their historical data to create a reliable forecast, giving them the confidence to trust our recommendations
Master the Domain: We will teach you retail. You will learn how global brands decide what to buy, how they manage capital efficiency, and how to model purchasing constraints
Qualification
Required
Technical Fluency (SQL & Python): You aren't building the product, but you know how to interrogate data. If a customer's export is messy, you can write a quick script or query to diagnose the issue and fix it rather than waiting for Engineering
Problem-Solving Agility: You love solving puzzles. When a Pilot data set looks 'off,' you have the curiosity to dig in, find the discrepancy, and resolve it using the tools at your disposal
Pilot / PoC Management: You have run technical evaluations before. You know how to manage expectations, keep a timeline on track, and drive a technical win
Customer-Facing Comfort: You are comfortable presenting on Zoom, managing a room, and translating technical data concepts into business value for non-technical humans
AI Literacy: You are comfortable using LLMs to speed up your own workflows, whether that's formatting data or drafting technical responses
