Visitor Services Associate

Genesee Country Village & Museum is the largest living history museum in New York State, hosting nearly 100,000 guests each year. The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing ticketing and retail operations, and assisting with group and private events.

Responsibilities

Operation of point-of-sale cash registers and handling of money from customers
Answering visitor inquiries regarding program offerings
Welcoming Museum visitors and providing exceptional customer service
Restocking merchandise
Keep stores and restaurants clean and inviting

Qualification

Customer serviceRetail experienceEvent managementPoint-of-sale operationTeamwork

Required

Prior experience in a retail, customer service, restaurant, or event environment
Ability to work weekends and Museum special events and occasional evenings
Ability to drive or learn to drive a golf cart and have current valid NYS driver's license
Ability to lift 25lbs independently
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Working in inclement weather includes rain, snow, heat, and cold
Walk up to 1 mile a day on different types of terrain
Perform physical work such as kneeling, reaching, bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing, lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds
