Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include three-dimensional cell culture of lung tissues as organoids, confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, DNA/RNA isolation, and RT-qPCR analysis
The candidate will also maintain research reagents and maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures
The candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the preparation of research papers and meeting presentations

Required

High school diploma or associates degree and 1-2 years of experience (can include undergraduate part-time laboratory work) in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques
Bachelor's degree in life sciences and 2 years of experience (can include undergraduate part-time laboratory work) in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques
Demonstrated ability to perform multi-task and develop solutions to basic technical problems
Strong attention to detail to tightly follow laboratory procedures and maintain accurate records
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum 1-year commitment with occasional weekend work required
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in the life sciences
Experience in three-dimensional culture of lung cells
Working knowledge of lung biology
Record of contribution to publications
