Responsibilities

Conduct inspections and electrical tests to verify products or components meet all requirements
Ensure products comply with military standards, agency standards (UL, CSA), and special drawing/specification requirements
Review purchased components requiring incoming quality inspection and determine acceptability
Maintain certification records for purchased products as required
Evaluate returned goods from customers and work with manufacturing on disposition
Assist in troubleshooting and verification when product issues or failures are identified internally or externally
Support field service requests when needed
Document inspection data and maintain records in alignment with company policies
Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality standards
Document vendor non-conformances and provide input on acceptance and future vendor decisions
Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality activities
Recommend process or quality improvements to management
Assist with testing and measurement equipment concerns
Support SPX Values: Integrity, Accountability, Excellence, Teamwork, Results
Follow all safety requirements, including proper PPE usage during product testing
Maintain daily quality workflow, RMAs, and tasks to support set performance metrics

Required

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and wiring schematics
Strong electrical understanding
Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related technical field
Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions
Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong electrical knowledge
Ability to read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and organizational ability
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Experience with Microsoft Office; SyteLine experience is a plus
Willingness to travel to other ASPEQ facilities or for field service trips
Ability to stand for long periods
Frequent carrying, grasping, reaching, pulling, and stooping for parts and components
High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred

Experience with testing equipment and quality measurement tools
Familiarity with government and industry standards (UL, CSA, military specifications)
Experience using Microsoft Office and SyteLine
Ability to travel for facility support or field service
Additional technical coursework or certifications in electrical, mechanical, or quality disciplines are a plus
