Responsibilities
Monitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recovery
Manage airways, monitor vital signs, and identify anesthesia-related complications
Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management therapies as ordered
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately
Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies
Maintain patient safety and comply with infection-control and regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
Minimum of two (2) years of recent PACU experience required
Must have current, specialty-specific (circular) experience in the role being applied for; additional experience may be required depending on facility needs
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
