Intern, Mid, Senior LevelThe University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business is seeking candidates for two positions in accounting for the 2026-27 academic year. The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, with a focus on providing outstanding educational experiences and engaging in scholarly research and service.

Responsibilities
Teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accounting
Provide an outstanding educational experience to students through classroom teaching, mentorship, and student activities outside the classroom
Engage in scholarly research and service for the Department, University, profession, and broader community
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in an accounting or DBA in Accounting from an accredited business school is required for the tenure track position
Candidates who are ABD will also be considered
A CPA is required for the professor of practice position
Candidates must have a record of or potential for contribution to the scholarship of accounting
Proficiency in oral and written communication
Enthusiasm for engagement, service, and the public good
Preferred
Candidates with a Ph.D., DBA, or ABD from an AACSB-International accredited business school are preferred
The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate non-profit/governmental accounting is preferred
Candidates with work experience and the potential of strong program leadership are preferred
