Maximo Senior Applications Analyst
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). They are seeking a Senior Applications Analyst to provide complex support for the Maximo Asset Management program, focusing on system design, configuration, and user support.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Under general direction, provides moderate to highly complex support to departments and programs including the analysis, evaluation, design, development, and testing of software and hardware programs
Assist in the administration and technical responsibility for the Maximo Asset Management program and provide services in architectural design, integration, implementation, back-end administration, and troubleshooting
Design optimum system configurations, develop and implement testing plans, ensure system quality assurance, evaluate whether new programs meet users' business needs and technology requirements and make adjustments as necessary
Organize and prioritize a variety of projects in an effective and timely manner
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, security, and testing of the Asset Management system
Work with Information Technology (IT) peers to design and configure changes to Maximo to optimize system usage within the business unit
Perform Maximo support for users, translating business requirements into enhancements; configuring and testing changes; maintaining and monitoring system security and permissions; and coordinating activities with Maximo team members, application owner, and IT
Collaborate with business units to define functional requirements, and determine appropriate changes
Collaborate with IT to design, develop, implement and test enhancements and configuration changes
Provide functional support to users and Maximo/MAS team members
Coordinate with IT and the business units to design, implement and test new processes
Maintain and configure security and access
Monitor Maximo/MAS performance; troubleshoot and resolve problems
Support and maintain multiple Maximo/MAS environments
Review and analyze business and technical processes and requirements
Responsible for identifying areas for improvement and troubleshoot issues to solve problems through analysis and direct support
Work closely with other Maximo/MAS team members supporting a diverse customer base
IBM WebSphere Server maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting
MAS related Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting
Manage database structures by monitoring and adjusting the internal structures (tuning) as required
Perform upgrades of the software to new release levels and assist with application upgrade initiatives
Perform technical implementation and documentation for MAS, Oracle databases and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship is required for all positions
Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent computer related experience with at least 5 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience
Knowledge of technical principles, theories, standards, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of MAS, OpenShift, Maximo, and WebSphere
Working level knowledge of networking, virtualization, SAN, Cloud, and related technologies
Working knowledge of the Maximo core product, MAS core product, Project Management, Asset Life Cycle Management, principles and practices of planned maintenance
Thorough working knowledge of Maximo/MAS and supporting products such as: Maximo Asset Management, MAS Suite Administration, MAS Maximo Manage, OpenShift Container Platform for MAS related projects, Integrated Framework/REST API, Automation Scripting, Application Development and modifications, Database configuration, Security and users, Ansible Tower/Automation Platform, Database systems such as Oracle, MongoDB, Troubleshooting and investigations within these various areas, GitLab, Docker/Kubernetes, Networking, Database systems such as Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres
Understanding of complex networks and networking infrastructure as well as networking best practices
Must be a team player with good customer service skills and the ability to work flexible hours if required
Able to exhibit strong end-to-end troubleshooting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.'
