Facilities Assistant Manager - Requires Driving
The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving primary health care needs in Brooklyn. They are seeking a Facilities Assistant Manager to assist in managing facilities operations, including maintenance, construction projects, and vendor management, ensuring optimal conditions for their facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities
Extensive experience and skill required in painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electric, wall repair, appliance repair, and general full range of skills
Responsibilities include managing and fulfilling work orders in 3 sites troubleshooting building issues, as prioritized by Manager/Management
Manages and handles office facilities such as furniture, cabinets, HVAC, and others
Plans, schedules, and coordinates general maintenance, major repairs, and remodeling or construction projects for properties, equipment, and furniture as needed
Inputs office supply orders, verifies order accuracy, and distributes office supplies, furniture, and equipment as needed
Manages office supply inventory to ensure efficiency
Completes the daily building/office inspection routine to ensure safety and compliance
Liaises with building, monitors tasks relating to elevator, fire drills and other items as needed and/or in compliance with local law
Manages and monitors the vendors and cost for purchasing material and vendor services related to Facilities
Supervises and reviews vendor services quality and maintains the service contracts
Performs related and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Drives/transport patients to other Center sites
Ensure center sidewalks and entrances are kept free of ice and snow during the Winter and free of debris at all times. Grass cutting
Inspect equipment and facilities or observe maintenance activities; assists with the development and implementation of annual or annual shutdowns for facilities maintenance purposes
Participates in the interviewing and hiring of new staff; schedules, prioritizes, assigns and review work, approves time off for payroll purposes, and prepares employee performance evaluations annually
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by COO and Facility Manager
Oversees and coordinates maintenance and repair work including after business hours and weekend
Available 24/7 to assist with any facility related emergencies
Any other Duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualification
Required

Bachelor's degree or Certification preferred
High School Diploma/GED. or extensive experience as supervisory in maintenance capacity
5 years minimum experience in Facilities Operations Management, preferably in a health care environment
Valid NYS Driver's License less than 4 points with satisfactory status required
Must have at least one-year experience working in a similar capacity at another job
Computer proficient
Professionalism skills
Flexible scheduling may be required, including weekend or evening hours
CLEAN NYS DRIVER'S LICENSE. Local travel between sites may also be required
