UTeach Academic Program Coordinator
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an UTeach Academic Program Coordinator to foster student success and engagement within the UTeach Program. This role involves leading recruitment and retention initiatives, providing academic advising, and managing scholarship processes to support the development of future STEM educators.

Responsibilities
Supervise a team of UTeach student employees focused on planning, implementing, and managing recruitment and retention strategies. This includes: working with student organizations and faculty to present programmatic information to their groups and courses, working with faculty members to survey students who do not continue in the program, conducting UTeach classroom visits to answer questions and help students navigate next steps in program, information sessions, tabling, and community building events
Advise students throughout the UTeach Program in multiple degree paths. Maintain knowledge of CNS and university-wide degree plans, audits, and registration procedures
Scholarships: Coordinate the scholarship lifecycle process: marketing, application, selection, notification, processing, and thank you letters
Serve as the advisor for the UTeach student organization, Math and Science Teachers of Tomorrow (MASTT)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and experience recruiting or coordinating a program and at least 3 years experience coordinating or administering a program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to large audiences
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Ability to problem solve, think critically, and consistently exercise a high degree of discretion
Proven ability to maintain punctual, dependable hours on a regular basis and provide superior customer service
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
Preferred
Master's degree in a relevant field
Two or more years' experience in student recruitment activities
Experience in developing written and digital content for social media
Proficiency with Microsoft 365

Retirement Plan Eligibility: The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
