Facilities Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and 3rd party contractors
Ensure department compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations
Build effective relationships with operators, internal stakeholders, and management
Manage and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all building systems and facilities equipment
Lead, mentor, and develop team members
Develop staffing, training plans, and tooling needs for maintenance technicians, and skilled trades
Ensure scheduled preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance activities are completed safely while exceeding customer expectations
Perform employee performance reviews and administer feedback and recognition when appropriate
Aid in establishing a culture of positivity, simultaneously instituting process discipline and continuous improvement
Track and report maintenance metrics aligned to production scorecard goals to leadership
Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility-related incidents
Coordinate office layouts, relocations and renovations
Manage all 3rd party SLAs to ensure contractual obligations are being met
Provide high-level project management for facilities related projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Facilities Management, or a related field (or substantial experience)
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facility management
In-depth knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
Experience with CMMS software for maintenance planning and tracking processes
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors
Contract development, management, SLA creation and service line management
Proficiency in vendor management and contract negotiations
Familiarity with safety, environmental, and building codes and regulations
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills
Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and lead skilled maintenance employees, providing clear direction and establishing expectations
Experience coordinating activities within cross functional areas of responsibility and collaboration with multiple departments
High ethical standards, integrity, and positive leadership
Capacity to learn and grow

Preferred

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred
Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA's CFM, FMP, or similar) is a plus
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
Experience managing contractors and service agreements preferred
Experience with startup and team building
Experience working with SAP and CMMS software
