Responsibilities

Serves as a key point of contact for employee relations issues, complaints and concerns and handles all in a fair, consistent and confidential manner
Assists in resolving employee relations issues, escalating more complex issues to senior HR leadership as necessary
Conducts thorough initial investigations into workplace concerns, allegations of misconduct or policy violations, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements
Demonstrated ability to handle full employee relations caseload with the ability to prioritize based on level of severity and risk
Maintains accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, investigations and outcomes
Mediates conflicts and disputes between employees and managers, promoting constructive dialogue and problem-solving
Facilitates discussions to resolve conflicts, ensuring mutual understanding and agreement among parties involved
Develops strategies and initiatives to prevent or mitigate workplace conflicts and promotes a culture of respect and cooperation
Facilities the entire performance management process for the organization to include 30-60-90, mid point and annual performance evaluations
Support and coach leaders on effective review of direct reports job and work performance
Maintain schedule for all required performance evaluations throughout the year
Ensure performance evaluation process is consistently conducted in accordance with policy
Analyze results of performance evaluations throughout the year
Ensure review of all performance review processes to determine the need for updates, changes, and enhancements to the process and tools
Refer performance evaluations issues for consult with appropriate HR unit(s)
Assist team members and leadership with completing their portion within each required performance evaluation process
Combines ability to communicate trust with people at all levels with energetic partnering skills
As part of the HR team, provides multiple human resources services in support of an organization
May be asked to cross train and assist in daily transactions, recruitment, training, and other human resource functions
Other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of professional human resource experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Generalist 2 (HRP011) or position equivalent
Strong communication and active listening skills
Solid understanding of HR policies, employment laws with the ability to analyze and interpret complex HR policies and law and translate them clearly to staff at all levels of the organization
Strong time management skills with the ability to constantly prioritize tasks
Strong commitment to discretion and confidentiality in employee relations and performance management process
Solid knowledge and background in the performance management process at all stages
Trained and skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving
Excellent organizational skills with a refined attention to details
Keen ability to build trust and positive relationships with all levels of the organization
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during stressful situations, and effectively defuse escalated issues
Superior skills in writing, documentation, assessing situations, and recommending appropriate action
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Ability to consistently meet deadlines
Position may require some local travel, must have own transportation
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and may be subject to random drug screens

Preferred

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience with UKG, PeopleSoft, and Workday
Strong knowledge of the investigation process
Solid analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses, present findings, and create solutions
Background with Performance Management process and program building
