Start in 2026 SpringEnovation Controls specializes in complex projects and innovative solutions, and they are seeking an Artificial Intelligence Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This role will involve collaborating with the Technical Services team to create AI tools and processes, providing students with real-life work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Enable the Technical Services team to do more, faster, and better by leveraging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices
Experiment with the latest AI tools and make recommendations for using them effectively
Work closely with Technical Services to understand how they enable customer success
Work closely with engineering teams to resolve software and hardware issues or implement feature requests
Create best-practice guides for AI to ensure a good internal-user experience of our display and controller products
Create how-to tutorials, debugging tutorials, and other online content needed to ensure customers can easily integrate our products into their applications
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in undergraduate (entering junior or senior year) or graduate level students actively enrolled in an accredited college program of Consumer Science or related field
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
Preferred
Familiarity with one or two leading AI tools: E.g. OpenAI ChatGPT 5.0, Microsoft CoPilot, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, etc
Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages; C#, C++, Codesys, or similar
Experience with Visual Studio, VS Code or similar IDE's with ability to quickly learn new software tool chains and IDEs through self-directed means
Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems using sound debugging and troubleshooting techniques
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Self-starter who can work independently or with others in a team-oriented environment
Electrical systems aptitude is preferred
Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, MODBUS, or similar communication networks is a plus
