Admin Assistant (NON;MP)
Maimonides Health is Brooklyn’s largest healthcare system, serving over 250,000 patients each year. They are seeking a seasoned Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Chairman.

Responsibilities
Manage correspondence, scheduling, and travel arrangements
Coordinate special projects and prepare reports/data
Take/transcribe minutes for departmental meetings, advisory committees, and faculty meetings
Manage physician credentialing processes for new hires and reappointments in coordination with Credentials department
Maintain current files for all faculty/staff, including licenses and DEA certifications
Monitor and follow up on delinquent medical records and clinical reviews
Prepare annual reports for SUNY Health Science Center, CME conferences, and regulatory bodies
Handle patient complaints and risk management correspondence
Organize departmental meetings and conferences, including speaker coordination, venue booking, and catering
Supervise clerical staff and provide backup coverage for senior Administrative Assistant
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years prior experience in a similar administrative role
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position
Preferred
Associate's degree or higher
Knowledge of a second language
