MasTec Inc. is seeking an energetic, career-minded Project Manager to support a government contract in Washington, DC. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple low voltage infrastructure projects throughout the project life cycle, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains project schedules, labor and material cost budgets to meet project completion schedules and cost budgets as directed. This may include multiple projects at one time based on size and duration

An excellent communicator able interface regularly with Customer, Architect, Construction manager, General Contractor on contractual, financial, cost accounting, scheduling, technical, and other areas related to the projects under his or her responsibility

Responsible for the development of detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity schedule and other issues, changes in scope etc. for projects under his/her responsibility

Responsible for preparing written proposals, including material and labor estimates

Constantly monitors projects for P&L margins to meet or exceed estimates

Ensures the quality of workmanship, safety and documentation per project. Performs at least one, Quality, and safety contact observation on each project weekly

If required, initiates disciplinary action for those employees working under him or her

Exhibits a superior ability to work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance. Provides documentation, reports, and information to operations as directed

Initiates and monitors installation standards, and technical and supervisory training (OJT) sessions for Technicians and junior crew members

Furthers oneself through ongoing education and certifications including but not limited to corporate or specialty courses
