Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops solutions in hybrid and cloud environments
Administer Citrix technologies including Citrix Studio, Citrix Policies, StoreFront, Citrix DaaS, App Layering, and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
Manage NetScaler configurations, policies, and traffic management for secure application delivery
Support FSLogix Profile Containers and Application Masking to optimize user experience and performance
Lead or support initiatives to migrate hybrid Citrix VDI environments (on-prem and cloud) to full cloud-based solutions
Provide technical direction and engineering support for infrastructure projects and operational improvements
Research and evaluate emerging VDI and virtualization technologies to inform design decisions and roadmap planning
Troubleshoot complex Citrix, networking, and performance issues across distributed environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with security, compliance, and operational standards
Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in virtual desktop engineering or infrastructure engineering roles
Significant hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop)
Strong expertise with Citrix NetScaler, including policy configuration and networking concepts
Experience with Citrix Cloud and Citrix DaaS architectures
Hands-on experience with FSLogix, application layering, and profile management solutions
Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale VDI environments
Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed technical teams
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Citrix certifications such as: Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) – Virtualization or App Delivery & Security
Citrix Certified Professional (CCP) – Virtualization or App Delivery & Security
Citrix Certified Expert (CCE) – Virtualization
Experience migrating Citrix environments to Microsoft-based cloud platforms (or similar cloud providers)
Background supporting large enterprise or regulated environments
Experience with automation or scripting related to VDI environments
