Responsibilities

Serve as front desk receptionist: greet visitors, answer phones, handle mailroom functions, and maintain a professional office environment

Monitor and respond to email inboxes

Assist with processing applications for public defender services and determining client eligibility

Prepare and ship USPS and UPS mail; maintain addresses in the UPS system

Maintain organized and well-stocked mailroom and supply areas

Assist with scanning, redacting, and releasing client files

Transfer and track scheduled collect calls

Support updates to MSPD internal documentation systems and databases

Provide administrative support to Human Resources, Financial, and IT departments

Assist with basic office facility duties, such as recycling and maintaining common areas

Accept and process client fee payments, prepare bank deposits, and maintain lien & recoupment records

Print and mail debt offset notices; monitor L&R database for missing or incorrect information

Assist with reviewing and processing retainer fee invoices

Perform other financial duties as assigned
