Responsibilities
With minimum supervision of a technical lead, update and maintain spatial and attribute data in the Esri Utility Network model for electric distribution assets, including poles, lines, transformers, and customer service connections
With supervision of a technical lead, perform electrical distribution designs supporting development of work packages for OH, UG, URD, Reliability, Asset Management, Make Ready, and Street Light projects, using client Esri Utility Network and GSI Distribution Design Studio systems
Communicate and collaborate with other designer and technical leads to meet client expectations including schedule adherence, quality control to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements
Work in a fast paced, diverse work environment while adhering to client standard design guidelines and complying with quality control and safe work practices
Qualification
Required
1-2 years of Career Experience with GIS updating, maintaining GIS and supporting work order preparation
1-2 years of Distribution Design Experience supporting or performing work order preparation
Knowledge of GIS/CAD drafting principles, standards, techniques and procedures
Ability to create and/or modify drawings from engineer-provided markups with a high level of attention to details
Proficiency with Windows operating system environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams. etc
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills within a team environment
Highly organized and efficient
Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced engineering/production environment
Preferred
2+ years of Career Experience with GIS updating, maintaining GIS and supporting work order preparation
2+ years of Distribution Design Experience supporting or performing work order preparation
1+ years of experience utilizing GSI Distribution Design Studio is preferred or equivalent Distribution Design Tools (e.g. Bentley)
1+ years of experience utilizing ESRI Utility Network
GIS Technician Experience in a high-volume Electrical Distribution Design environment
Distribution Designer Experience in a high-volume Electrical Distribution Design environment
Ability to understand and implement a wide range of client CAD standards
Experience with file sharing, document management and collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, FTP, SharePoint, etc
