Responsibilities

Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and other non-resident state licenses as required
Responsible for required reporting to State Boards of Pharmacy, DEA and FDA
Maintain pharmacist licensure and facility licensing in good standing across multiple states
Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B of the FD&C Act and associated FDA guidance documents
Develop and maintain SOPs and training programs. Be responsible for control/review/and issuing of all SOPs and training programs
Represent the facility in regulatory meetings and lead all inspections and Board of Pharmacy appearances
Provide regulatory and quality direction to cross-functional teams (e.g., recall, complaints)
Support outsourcing and regulatory strategy across departments
Oversee all QA/QC functions including batch record review, deviation investigations, environmental monitoring, and product testing
Lead regulatory and accreditation inspections (FDA, OH Board of Pharmacy) and internal audits
Manage validation activities, including site Validation Master Plan, and approve related documentation (e.g., finished product stability studies, equipment and systems validation and manufacturing process validation
Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Review and approve change controls, product labels, and annual product reviews
Oversee incoming material quality and sample reserve programs
Develop and manage vendor qualification and monitoring programs
Provide quarterly quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
Develop and manage an environmental monitoring program including trending, investigation, and root cause analysis

Required

A registered pharmacist in the state of Ohio with an active license in good standing, as well as experience in being licensed in multiple states
5+ years experience in a leadership role managing a team
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Strong understanding of cGMP, sterile injectable manufacturing and non-sterile compounding
Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding, FDA and DEA regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, ensuring smooth operations and accurate documentation
Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm, professional, diplomatic, and positive in all situations
Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, able to convey complex information clearly, succinctly, and effectively to diverse audiences
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment and is comfortable working with minimal supervision while maintaining effective communication
Analytical with a strong problem-solving mindset, demonstrating creativity and innovation when tackling complex challenges
Natural leader, with experience managing teams and a passion for mentoring and developing healthcare professionals

Preferred

10+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device industry or similar
7+ years in quality roles with increasing responsibility
