Responsibilities
The pasteurization Technician performs functions necessary to assist the milk bank in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective donor human milk services
Utilizes requisite equipment, aseptic technique, donor milk processing supplies, and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement, receipt, preparation/milk processing and/or dispensation of donor human milk
Performs other duties as assigned
Preparing donor milk for pasteurization including pouring and bottling
Conducting the pasteurization process
Documenting and packing milk samples for testing
Cleaning and preparing lab and related equipment for pasteurization
Performing routine maintenance of lab equipment
Data entry
Stocking of supplies at the start and end of each day
Maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work area
Work independently and as part of a team
Assist with inventory management and freezer organization system
Scheduling couriers to pick up orders
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree and one year work experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 to 4 years work experience
