Responsibilities
Perform Inspections including Pre-Operational and Food Safety - document and communicate results
Perform Daily Operating Inspections as needed to assure compliance with GMP’s and USDA requirements
Perform Metal Detector Record Checks inform Supervisor of deficiencies
Calibrate Test equipment such as Scales, pH meter, Thermometers, Metal Detector, etc
Perform pre-start-up and changeover verifications and documentation
Maintain accurate and organized records of QA activities
Monitor HACCP Critical Control Point
Perform Quality Audits as required
Perform in-bound raw and packaging material checks to ensure customer requirements are met
Liaison with USDA
Report and Follow-Up on Food Safety and Food Quality concerns
Follows all Food Safety PPE/GMP requirements and reports any concerns in the plant
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required
Strong organizational skills required
Ability to interact and to manage conflict in stressful situations while maintaining composure and perspective
The ability to identify, define, and solve problems
Strong initiative and the ability to work with others to achieve desired results
A sense of accountability for results
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees
Ability to read and understand formula sheets
Preferred
Previous experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus
