Responsibilities

Support, processes, and procedures related to managing, maintaining, and upgrading technology in UCR's large venue areas, conference rooms, classrooms, labs, and for event support
Collaborate across UCR to define specifications, plan for changes, implement and maintain the technology for the defined use
Collaborate across schools, departments and within IT to define effective standards, policies, processes and procedures for evaluation, acquisition, and ongoing management and maintenance of University technology spaces and assets
Establish and maintain professional partnership relations with hardware and software vendors which enables early participation in testing and developing projects involving new and emerging technologies
Represent ITS at campus-wide meetings and represent UCR at system-wide and off-campus meetings, seminars and conferences

Required

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
6 - 10 years of related experience
Advanced skills in leading all levels of event set up, operation, troubleshooting and technical direction
Advanced skills to develop technical solutions to meet complex user requirements
Advanced knowledge of technical requirements of events and the technical requirements to execute the projects
High degree of knowledge of computer, media, and networking technology
Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines
Ability to assess campus or institutional needs for AV IT technology products and design services to meet those needs
Skills to determine priorities based on knowledge of work area
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Advanced understanding of post-production processes including internet-based media distribution solutions
Excellent project management organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds
Advanced customer service and consultative skills to identify and implement required technology solutions
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
Advanced understanding of media production methods and equipment and ability to use this information to troubleshoot the most complex systems
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret intellectual property (IP) and copyright-related policies
