Special Activities Coordinator for ChOICE Academy

Growth Opportunities

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain an after school program and summer programming for Ch.O.I.C.E Academy students and, as space allows, other WCMHS adolescent clients
Supervise the summer program staff
Responsible for fundraising, organizing, and leading summer trips
Grant writing and fundraising for special projects
Adhere to agency guidelines in management of program finances and all paperwork
Communicate and collaborate with all responsible parties (parents and guardians, educators, treatment team members) about the children in the program

Qualification

Bachelor's DegreeChildrenOrganizational skillsGrant writingConflict de-escalation techniquesCommunication skillsTeam player

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, etc) required
Four years or more working with children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges or mental health issues required
Strong organizational skills are a must
Willing to learn and, when necessary, employ conflict de-escalation and passive restraint techniques
Strong written and oral communication skills
Team player who takes supervision well

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Grant writing experience very helpful
