Technical Solution Architect & Strategy Lead – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

General Motors is seeking a seasoned Technical Solution Architect & Strategy Lead to shape the vision and strategy of their global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem. Responsibilities

Own and evolve the technical architecture for GM’s global PLM ecosystem, aligned with enterprise strategy
Lead the design, integration, and optimization of Teamcenter-based solutions to support global collaboration and consistent product data
Build and execute GM’s PLM technology roadmap, including Teamcenter SaaS migration, instance consolidation, and adoption of standard configuration capabilities
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Teamcenter architecture, customization, data migration, and integration
Solve complex, cross-functional business problems using strong systems thinking and technical leadership
Develop improved methods, standards, and processes that elevate PLM capabilities enterprise-wide
Mentor and guide global engineers, architects, and analysts to foster technical excellence and alignment
Drive the reduction of legacy customizations and transition teams toward standard Teamcenter modules
Ensure strong integrations between Teamcenter and CAD, ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems to support digital thread initiatives
Lead technical due diligence, risk assessments, and solution validation for major PLM projects
Communicate effectively across diverse audiences and influence stakeholders toward best practices

Required

8+ years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), with expertise in Siemens Teamcenter architecture, integrations, or solution design, or ANY large/similar ERP platforms
5+ years driving enterprise PLM initiatives in global, multi-site environments
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Proven experience leading PLM modernization or transformation programs, including cloud/SaaS migrations
Strong understanding of PLM fundamentals: BOM management, change control (ECO/ECN), configuration/variant management, CAD data management, workflows, and lifecycle states
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps, lead system consolidation efforts, and drive adoption of standard SaaS features
Experience creating change impact assessments and stakeholder communications
Ability to influence cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams at scale

Preferred

Familiarity with AI applications in PLM is a plus
Experience working in a matrixed global organization
