Responsibilities
Performs advanced scientific experiments and on a daily basis utilizing the following:
Organic/Organometallic Synthetic Chemistry
Air-Moisture Sensitive Techniques
Application of NMR spectroscopy
Interfacing with advanced computer software
Ensures data reliability through adherence to quality objectives and develops all method support documentation
Data analysis
Qualification
Required
Synthesis experience required
Must be capable of working independently in a dry-box or using Schlenk line techniques
Advanced knowledge of various chemistry related computer software
Capable of safe, reliable, and independent laboratory work given review of literature, framing of problem, and regular direction
Ability to learn new techniques as needed
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions
Strong problem-solving skills
Concern for accuracy and precision
Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication written/oral and interpersonal skills
Preferred
An MS, Chemistry, is preferred; or BS, Chemistry, with a related research experience
Experience in synthetic organic and/or inorganic chemistry is desired
