Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst
OVA.Work is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior FP&A Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. The role involves leading financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting efforts to support executive decision-making and drive business growth, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and rolling forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business drivers to ensure accurate projections
Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate scenarios, including revenue/expense forecasting, variance analysis, and what-if simulations; identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to inform strategic recommendations
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance metrics
Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and investment opportunities (e.g., M&A evaluations); provide recommendations for cost optimization, risk mitigation, and resource allocation
Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other departments to streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and implement best practices using tools like Excel, ERP systems, or BI software
Ensure all financial activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies; conduct ad-hoc analyses for special projects, such as product launches or capital investments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA/macros)
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, or Tableau)
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle)
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills for presenting to non-finance stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Proven track record of driving financial improvements and supporting business decisions
Knowledge of industry-specific benchmarks and GAAP/IFRS principles
Preferred
MBA, CPA, or CFA certification
Experience in a corporate or consulting environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with SQL or Python for data manipulation is a plus
