They are seeking a Technical Supervisor in Anesthesiology who will be responsible for overseeing the technical staff, ensuring the maintenance and operation of anesthesia equipment, and coordinating supplies for anesthetic procedures.

Responsibilities
Ensures all anesthesia machines, monitors and equipment are cleaned and maintained following procedures established by Infection Control and JCAHO
Ensures all equipment is operating properly and assigns personnel to repair malfunctioning equipment
Coordinates with anesthesia supply and equipment personnel to ensure supplies and equipment are available for anesthetic procedures. Obtains supplies and equipment as requested by anesthesia provider(s)
Maintains par levels of all supplies and is responsible for ordering supplies and stock medications
Acts as a resource for anesthesia technicians, anesthesia providers and other health care team members by providing technical guidance and instruction as needed
Supervises staff and participates in various personnel duties including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, annual competencies, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and terminations
Oversees installation of new equipment purchased for department and receives instructions in operation of equipment
Responds to Operating Room staff requests and assists in resolving problems concerning patients and equipment
Offers specific training programs to staff maintain or improve job on new equipment
Stays current with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books and magazine articles
Qualification
Required
High School diploma, college preferred
Three years' experience in a healthcare setting
Certified Anesthesia Technologist Certification
Preferred
Prior supervisory skills preferred
