Electronic Repair Technician

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCBs, controls, and assemblies down to the component level
Perform repairs, replacements, and calibrations on a variety of electronic devices (industrial controls, drives, instrumentation, communication boards, etc.)
Conduct functional testing and verification to ensure repaired equipment meets specifications
Use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and soldering equipment
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent in the company’s maintenance/repair tracking system
Provide feedback to engineering and quality teams regarding recurring issues and potential design improvements
Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and safety standards during all repair processes
Support inventory control by identifying parts shortages and assisting with ordering
Collaborate with colleagues, customer service, and management to meet turnaround times and customer commitments
Participate in continuous training to stay current with new technologies and repair practices

Required

Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in electronic repair or maintenance (industrial, consumer, or military electronics)
Strong knowledge of electronic theory, schematics, and component-level troubleshooting
Skilled in soldering, de-soldering, and reworking PCBs
Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
