Administers direct nursing care to patients
Performs a variety of indirect patient care duties
Responsible for all professional working policies pertaining to the Transitional Care Unit
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Assesses data reflective of the patient's status
Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs
Provides care needed as described in the Nursing Department's policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program required
Possession of a current license as a Practical Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners required
Must maintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Allied Services
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care appropriate to the age specific need and culture of the patient served
Preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in a long term care setting preferred
