Lead Accounts Payable Analyst

ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in the region. The Lead Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for processing vendor invoices and payments, managing cash requirements, and resolving invoice discrepancies while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Process and review invoices daily to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies
Manage weekly cash requirements and execute payment runs (ACH/wire/check), coordinating approvals and cut off schedules
Analyze, research, and resolve invoicing issues (pricing, quantity, PO/receipt variances, tax, terms) in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders
Review and approve new vendor setups, validating tax information, and confirmation of banking details
Prepare and support year end tax filings (e.g., Forms 1099/1096), maintaining accurate records and audit trails
Perform other related duties as assigned, including ad hoc reporting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting
Will consider an associate's degree in related areas, if the candidate has 5 or more years' experience working as an accountants payable analyst
Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
