Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, mechanisms, systems, and products
Translate internal and external customer or business requirements into basic specifications and designs
Perform feasibility analyses to support design decisions
Develop and execute test protocols with moderate guidance
Independently test, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and address design or performance issues
Apply Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) throughout the design process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams while demonstrating understanding of customer and business needs
Continuously expand technical knowledge and skills within the mechanical engineering discipline
Qualification
Required
Experience performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
Expertise in Mechanical CAD tools, including SolidWorks, CREO, and ProE
Strong background in feasibility analysis
Proven experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Preferred
Experience with sheet metal design
