Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Lead a cross-functional team of systems engineers and multidiscipline engineers
Team management & leadership and project planning
Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsible for quarterly Estimates at Complete, monthly WebStatus, IMS updates, LREs, and necessary variance narratives
Lead Design Reviews and Raytheon Gates (PDR, SRR, FCA, etc)
Management of system requirements through verification
Develop, update, and manage Verification Plans and Reports
Cross-functional collaboration and coordination
Write Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) within the effort and support activities through Gate 4
Coordinate with program leadership on long term strategy and planning
Review and support trade studies, down-selects, and other analyses
CDRL management, report development, and delivery
Develop materials for customer meetings (Reviews, Technical Interface Meetings, status meetings, etc.) and brief customer representatives
Coordinate Systems efforts across LIT, Tech Refresh, F-35 Integration, Production, MODS, SIP and MALD and with functional departments
Ensure Systems tasks are aligned with program goals and coordinated across teams and functions
Oversee Logistics, Safety, Reliability, Quality, Configuration Management (CM), Data Management (DM), System Security Engineering (SSE), Systems teams, and supplier activities
Complete Safe and Suitable documentation for StormBreaker integration on the F-35 platform
Analyze systems for nonconformances, identifying and implementing corrective actions as necessary

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience
Experience in Systems Engineering, Architecture, and/or Design
Experience working on a cross-functional team of Systems Engineers and multidiscipline engineers
Experience working with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures and working with the DoD customer
Experience as a Systems Engineering IPT leader
Experience with program management tools including Control Account Management (CAM)

Preferred

Post Graduate Degree in in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics and ten (10) years' engineering experience
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
Comprehensive knowledge of Logistics, Safety, Reliability, Quality, CM, DM, and SSE
Experience in managing FCA, VIS, PRR, and other program approval processes
Proficiency in analyzing systems for nonconformances and implementing corrective measures
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle as it relates to the Software Development life cycle
Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations with strong verbal and written communication skills
Software and firmware architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and verification
Interfacing with customers
Developing & Refining CONOPS, System Architecture, System Requirement, and Requirements Verification Strategies & Plans
Performing Functional & Physical Analyses and Allocation
Creating & Maintaining Specifications
Subassembly and System Integration & Verification
Familiarity with StormBreaker program components (LIT, Tech Refresh, F-35 Integration, Production, MODS, and MALD)
Experience in F-35 platform integration and requirements
Knowledge of supplier verification processes and production readiness activities
