Responsibilities
Assist in developing the FPGA and embedded software for a next generation flow-cytometer
Support embedded software & hardware development for FPGA-based platforms
Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot circuit boards
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project goals and deadlines
Gain hands-on experience in electrical hardware design
Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision
Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours
Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Basic knowledge of C
Basic knowledge of serial communications (I2C, SPI, UART)
Available for 8 month Co-Op with target dates of June 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience working with FPGAs using Verilog or System-Verilog
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements in a collaborative environment
