Responsibilities

Direct and conduct research experiments that include primary cell harvesting, cell culture maintenance, DNA and protein preparation, PCR, Western blot, Flow cytometry, ELISA. Requires a high-level of skills and expertise
Perform genetic editing in primary cells and cell cultures using CRISPR/Cas technology and analyze the results
Work independently and in conjunction with others who are part of the Laboratory
Record and summarize research findings
Evaluate and analyze data
Establish new research protocols and procedures
Conduct literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format
Perform other job related duties as assigned

Required

Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree
Seven years of postdoctoral research experience
Must have strong hands-on experience in fundamental cell and molecular biology techniques and a willingness to learn and implement new methodologies
Strong communication skills, attention to details, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are essential for success in this role
