Associate Director of Facilities
Mark-Taylor, Inc. is the region's longest-standing investment manager, developer, and owner of Class-A multifamily real estate. They are seeking a Regional Facilities Director to oversee a portfolio of Class-A Communities, providing leadership and support to Service Managers while ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of community value.

Responsibilities
Oversee the hands-on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the communities in your portfolio. This includes performing consistent inspections, diagnosing problems and making necessary repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry walling, appliances and exterior structures
Use extensive knowledge and problem-solving skills in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, Construction, Capital Projects, and all safety & OSHA-related standards
Work with Manager of Community Operations, Manager of Facilities & Service, Associate Managing Directors and Managing Directors on the day-to-day operations including service-related issues, capital planning and vendor oversight
Partner with other operational leaders and on-site service managers to work on vendor partnerships, health, safety, security, and emergency response procedures
A basic understanding of written and verbal English
Qualification
Required

Work with Manager of Community Operations, Manager of Facilities & Service, Associate Managing Directors and Managing Directors on the day-to-day operations including service-related issues, capital planning and vendor oversight

A basic understanding of written and verbal English
Experience overseeing multiple building, facilities, communities, or assets
5+ years experience leading large teams through build-outs, major capital projects, etc
Vendor management and negotiation experience with a proven track record of negotiating large scale contracts
Knowledge of building systems – plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pools, irrigation systems, access control systems, etc.- with a proven ability to quickly identify & resolve issues in both a proactive and reactive setting
EPA certification and CPO certifications required or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring
Understanding of general safety requirements, including OHSA
High level of knowledge regarding service contracts, requests for pricing and commercial maintenance programs
