Assist with a variety of transactional legal matters, including drafting documents, negotiating agreements, conducting research and closing deals
Qualification
Required
Proactive mindset and self-starter, always thinking about next steps to advance deals and clients' objectives. Does not wait to be 'told' what to do to take action. High internal locus of control
Business-minded, with some experience helping to run a business and take calculated risks. Experience applying commonsense principles to hard problems. Solid judgment
High integrity - meaning, you are who you say you are. The 'inside' matches the 'outside' and you do what is right even when no one is watching and when cutting corners is more expedient
Strong attention to detail, with experience drafting legal contracts
Commercial real estate and/or corporate law experience
Experience at large law firm and/or with institutional clients, with an understanding of 'best practices' for drafting legal contracts. An appreciation of the 'why' behind legal negotiating points, and ability to communicate that effectively
Entrepreneurial, with a desire to help build this firm from the ground up
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and active membership in the state bar association
