Senior Consultant, Public Affairs and Strategic Communications

Forward Global is a leading international risk and reputation management group. They are searching for a Senior Consultant in Public Affairs and Strategic Communications to support senior team members across various client accounts, focusing on communication strategies and relationship management.

Responsibilities

Serve as a client-supporting point of contact for 5-7 clients, regularly working to translate their business and policy priorities into worthy narratives and messaging
Conduct regular media monitoring, perform press outreach, and engage in creative storytelling with the media
Develop, foster, and maintain strategic relationships with journalists and the organizers of major tentpole events
Assist in planning client-owned events, gatherings, and productions
Supports creation of original content, brand elevation, media coverage, and interview opportunities for clients and third parties
Writing and producing content with minimal edits for internal teams and clients including op-eds, press releases, reports, briefing books, client memos, talking points, and presentations
Support additional client administrative tasks as required, such as budgets and client invoicing

Required

Have two to four years of political campaign, in-house, media or Capitol Hill experience, ideally working in press outreach, communications, or media-related industry
Experience maintaining strong working relationships with members of the media
Are entrepreneurial – comfortable solving problems and creating a process from scratch
Are comfortable with tasks large and small: You can prep a major executive or principal for media, but you're also comfortable shipping out client gifts
Are a critical thinker who understands the drivers of the business and policy ecosystem, beyond communications
Are deeply committed to client service and value delivery
Are comfortable building and maintaining a professional network supportive to personal professional development and supporting client needs
Are comfortable, where applicable, registering to lobby
