Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Cost Forecasting: Analyzing available documentation to understand scope, identifying cost-influencing factors, and using historical data, trends, and research for accurate projections
Collaboration and Communication: Working with project teams and stakeholders, managing bids from vendors, and presenting detailed cost models and analyses to management and clients
Cost Management and Optimization: Evaluating cost alternatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Compliance and Documentation: Assisting with regulatory compliance, including cost transparency requirements, and maintaining cost databases and documentation
Other Duties as Assigned: Additional and separate responsibilities may be assigned as appropriate
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree (preferably in finance, accounting, engineering, or business)
Strong analytical and technical skills
Experience in healthcare cost estimation
University Degree and minimum 6-8 years of prior relevant experience; some roles may require graduate-level education Master's or Doctorate degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
6 years in cost estimation techniques, modeling, and financial analysis, advanced Excel knowledge, and familiarity with industry software and databases
Healthcare revenue cycle knowledge
Experience with revenue cycle managed services or advisory services
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills for teamwork and meeting deadlines
Preferred
A degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or business administration is preferred
Professional certifications like Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) from the Association for the Advancement of Cost Estimating (AACE International) are preferred
