Account Executive/Sales Representative

STAR Brokerage Sales & Marketing Agency is seeking an Account Executive to manage food and beverage manufacturer brands in the Houston area. The role involves building business through distribution opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating various promotional activities.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive communication with business managers and TX key account team regarding product knowledge, sale objectives, promotional information, new product information, and client’s plan of action
Keep all informed of issues with stores, competitive activity, trends etc. Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts
Work with the business manager in a team model approach to prepare and present trade promotions, pricing, merchandising, marketing information, and market development programs to assigned clients, and customers
Maintains current call record on each assigned account identifying key personnel, buying policies, and follow up reports after meetings. Prepare customer/client recaps post meeting to keep track of the follow up activities and aimed at driving the business forward
In collaboration with assigned administrators, prepares deal sheets and contracts. Works with administrators to monitor deductions and resolve any other client/customer problem areas
Presents deals and merchandising programs and secures orders for products. Access distribution on existing items to be sure they are being carried
Required to travel according to business needs
Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree or ten 10 years related consumer good, retail sales and marketing experience in the food and beverage retail industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturer or retail job function
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business concepts, sales reports, and management of customer procedures
Ability to build reports, business correspondence, and customer procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, margins, percentages, area, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to solve practical problems and use common sense in all situations
Commitment to always act in the best interest of STAR Brokerage
PC knowledge and skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and E-mail
A valid driver's license is required for this position
