Supervisory General Engineer
DLA Careers is seeking a Supervisory General Engineer to serve as the Chief of the Installation Management Division and provide professional engineering and master planning advice. The role involves overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment, as well as planning and budgeting for division operations.

Responsibilities
Serves as Chief, Installation Management Division (SF-RI), and professional engineering/master planning adviser
Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of real property facilities and installed equipment, maintenance, and repair of mobile and heavy operating equipment
Develops, coordinates, and surveillances mid/long term facilities planning to include real property modernization
Implements the union-management agreement on a day-to-day basis. Provision of custodial, sanitation and entomology services
Responsibilities include planning, directing, programming, controlling, and budgeting all phases of Division operations and coordinating with counterparts
Applies basic scientific principles, particularly those of higher mathematics, and physical and engineering sciences and assures overall professional, administrative, technical and policy direction of the unit

Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal

Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service

Basic Requirement: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in professional engineering
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
