Digital Platform Strategy Director
Corporate Resources of Illinois is introducing a newly built B2B digital commerce platform designed to modernize customer engagement. The Digital Platform Strategy Director will act as the business steward of the platform, balancing customer needs, operational realities, and technical constraints while guiding cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary business owner for the digital commerce ecosystem from launch through maturity
Guide platform evolution using customer feedback, usage data, and operational insight
Establish success measures that reflect adoption, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, not just feature delivery
Translate customer and commercial requests into clear business requirements
Collaborate with Finance to assess feasibility, risk, and impact of proposed enhancements
Partner with IT and external vendors to align solutions with business intent, comfortably pushing back when needed
Coordinate testing, validation, and phased rollout of new functionality
Prioritize initiatives based on business value, complexity, and readiness
Balance urgency with realism in a large, process-driven organization
Lead conversations that move ideas forward while respecting governance and structure
Support internal teams and key customers through change
Monitor performance data and customer behavior to identify improvement opportunities
Ensure the platform continues to solve real problems, not just add features
Qualification
Required
7+ years in digital commerce, product ownership, or business systems leadership within a mid-sized organization
Strong B2B experience required; distribution preferred, manufacturing considered
Experience owning entire platforms, not isolated modules or features
Proven ability to work across Finance, IT, Operations, Sales, and Marketing
Hands-on experience with B2B eCommerce platforms
Working knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or similar)
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and PIM systems and how they integrate with commerce platforms
Comfortable using project management tools
Solid grasp of IT fundamentals and security concepts to collaborate effectively with technical teams
Bachelor's degree required but experience congruent will be evaluated
Polished, confident communicator comfortable engaging senior leadership and customer advisory groups
Patient, resilient, and realistic, able to navigate process and long timelines without losing momentum
Strategic thinker with a practical mindset
Comfortable advocating for business needs while maintaining strong partnerships
