Senior Missile CAD Modeler

Responsibilities

Analysis of missile hardware, both production and post-flight, demonstrating advanced subject matter expertise in providing characterization and modeling support to greater foreign materiel exploitation (FME) efforts
Developing new missile CAD models, integrating, updating, or maintaining existing missile CAD models under strict configuration management guidelines
Extracting CAD model data including mass properties, inertial properties, materials, and geometry to support analyst requests
Performing three-dimensional scanning of components to aid in CAD model development
Developing and updating documentation of intelligence sources used in model updates or generation

Required

Must be a US Citizen and possess an ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance
BS in CAD-related technical degree and 8+ years of experience (or MS in CAD-related technical degree and 6+ years of experience)
Proficiency with Siemens NX and Siemens Team Center software
Extensive knowledge of missile weapon systems and foreign military hardware
Proficiency producing 3-D missile models including material and mass properties
Proficiency producing 2-D line drawings
Proficiency in producing meshes suitable for use in producing CFD aerodynamic data and to support RF signature production
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to deliver a quality product and ensure customer satisfaction
Ability to prepare and clearly deliver technical reports and briefings
High levels of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills to support interaction with both Government and contractor personnel

Preferred

Advanced CAD Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in parametric and surface modeling, assembly design, and integration using Siemens NX and Team Center
Reverse Engineering: Experience with 3D scanning technologies and converting scanned data into accurate CAD models
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T): Strong understanding of GD&T principles for creating precise technical drawings
Simulation and Analysis Tools: Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools for aerodynamic and structural analysis, including mesh generation for RF signature production
Configuration Management: Experience adhering to strict configuration management processes to ensure model integrity and traceability
Technical Writing and Communication: Ability to produce clear technical documentation and deliver concise briefings to stakeholders
Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME): Knowledge of missile weapon systems and prior experience supporting FME efforts
