Supervising Environmental Health Specialist

Responsibilities
Direct the strategic planning and operational oversight of the Consumer Protection Program
Manage a multi-disciplinary team of Environmental Health professionals
Drive the development of departmental policies, fiscal budgets, and long-range program initiatives
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and continuous professional development
Oversee performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions
Qualification
Required
Three years of full-time environmental health experience performing duties of a California Registered Environmental Health Specialist that demonstrates possession of the listed knowledge and abilities, one year of which must have included lead experience
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Environmental Health Specialist with the California Department of Public Health
Preferred
A graduate degree in Public Health, Health Science, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field is highly desirable
