Client Account Specialist/ Bookkeeper
Hieronymus CPAs is a small, locally owned public accounting firm seeking a dedicated Client Account Specialist to join their team. The role involves fostering strong client relationships, providing tailored solutions, and managing various accounting tasks including bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Responsible for transaction classification, bank and credit card reconciliations, balance sheet maintenance, bill payment, expense tracking and invoicing for multiple clients
Responsible for payroll, payroll tax, sales & use tax, and various other accounting services
Provide regular financial reports
Preparation and submission of year-end payroll compliance filings
Researches and corrects technical issues
Manages time and priorities in order to meet time constraints and client deadlines
Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of leadership
Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards
Develops quality client relationships and loyalty
Builds productive relationships with supervisors by keeping them informed about work progress
Collaborate and support the team on tasks outside of the 'usual' assignments
Qualification
Required
High school diploma is required
Previous bookkeeping & payroll experience in Quickbooks desktop and online is required
High level of customer service & confidentiality
Ability to prioritize deadlines and multiple projects
Excellent problem solving, analytical, organization and communication skills are needed
Well-versed with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
Able to thrive in a fast paced and changing work environment
Personal characteristics include professionalism in behavior and attire, integrity, and trustworthiness
Ability to work independently, anticipate issues, and develop a plan to complete assigned tasks
Available to work extended hours during tax deadlines
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred
