KnowIt Training is seeking a Sr. Manager for IT Operations to lead a team of technical professionals in managing the company's internal IT infrastructure. The role involves overseeing cloud data center operations, on-premise IT equipment, and ensuring alignment of IT strategy with business goals.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of technical professionals and outsource vendors to design, build, and support all internal IT infrastructure

Develop overall infrastructure vision and systems architecture (e.g., private / public / hybrid cloud, vendors / partners)

Align IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives

Ensure consistency and use of best practices in design and build of infrastructure

Management of outsourced data center function which includes directing the provisioning and decommissioning of servers, storage, and other technology hosted by the third party

Management of on premise servers, phone systems, networking equipment and any other technology infrastructure located in our facilities

Management of LAN/WAN & Telecommunications

Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company

Provide input on operating and capital budgets

Purchasing of assets, tracking of expenditures, and ensure all licensing is sufficiently in place

Managing contracts for support and services relative to areas of responsibility

Manage SAP infrastructure: SAP Landscape, BASIS function, etc

Design, rollout & scheduled testing of a DR solution

Lead IT Security function and manage IT Security Analyst(s) and Vendors

Maintain IT Controls related to SOX compliance and coordinate with internal and external audit teams

Partner with the IT Service Delivery Manager on End Point Management solutions

Identifies opportunities to leverage technology to increase employee productivity and/or reduce costs

Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions

Required

5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading an Infrastructure team

10+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating infrastructure to support mission critical systems

Experience with designing, building, and operating solutions using a public cloud platform

Experience with Server and Application virtualization

Experience with Cisco networking technology and Cisco Telephony

Experience with Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office 365

Demonstrated vendor management experience

Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering

Demonstrated project management and organization skills

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to establish vision, plans, and status with the ability to interact with executives, team members, and the user community as needed

Ability to 'think big' and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
