Responsibilities
Assist in developing and optimizing 1–3 column purification workflows (SEC, ProA, CEX, AEX, HIC, IMAC, mixed modes) for mammalian-expressed proteins- mabs, Fc-fusion, Bispecific, ScFv etc
Support purification and characterization of ADCs and conjugated proteins in collaboration with our bioconjugation team
Perform analytical assays such as Protein A HPLC for titer, SEC-HPLC, CEX-HPLC, RP-HPLC, SDS-PAGE, and ADC-specific methods (training provided)
Operate and maintain FPLC and analytical HPLC systems, including cleaning and changeovers
Have experience with automation systems- Hamilton for HTP purification
Accurately document all work in ELNs, batch records, and SOPs
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges, method development experience
Experience with generating low endotoxin protein for animal studies
This is fast paced purification environment and the ideal candidate should be up to the challenge of purifying >100 mabs/ week with supporting analytical data
Qualification
Required
Masters degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioprocessing, or related field plus 3-4 years industry experience
Hands-on laboratory experience with protein purification (FPLC experience strongly preferred)
Familiarity with analytical HPLC and chromatography methods a plus
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, maintain purification lab inventory and ELN proficiency
Team player with excellent communication skills
Clients timeline are important- ability to manage workflows and deliver on target is a must
Preferred
Experience in ADC purification/characterization is desirable
