New Grad, Entry LevelIMCS Group is seeking a Financial Advocate / Patient Access Representative. The primary function of this role is to perform financial screenings for patients and serve as the main contact for patient education regarding insurance benefits and billing processes.

Responsibilities
Perform a thorough financial screening of patients
Act as North Memorial's primary contact for patient education in areas of insurance benefits, levels of coverage, and billing and collection processes
Ensure that all accounts have been cleared for billing
Obtain insurance authorization for services
Secure payment arrangements (including collection of co-payment/coinsurance) prior to patient discharge and for major outpatient services
Identify other potential payment sources (including Financial Assistance program, initiating/completing the Medical Assistance application process)
Provide costs estimates
Qualification
Required
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Effective organizational skills, including ability to prioritize, problem solve, and resolve conflict
Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with patients and families
Advanced knowledge of insurance, including government assistance programs
Must be able to work under considerable stress, using tact and diplomacy
This individual will be required to float between Robbinsdale and Maple Grove depending on business needs
Robbinsdale will be the home base and they must have available transportation
