Responsibilities
Conceptual through detailed design of various subsystems for advanced manufacturing systems
Associated structural, thermal and dynamic analysis / simulation
Integration of various electrical, controls, optical and fluids components as required
Collaborate with external design and manufacturing partners as required, ensuring high quality and schedule adherence to project milestones
Hands on development, fabrication, assembly, integration and test of systems
Troubleshooting of complex systems
Qualification
Required
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
5+ years detailed design of complex mechanical systems
Experience with motion system or automation design
Extensive drafting and GD&T experience
Experience with hands on assembly and testing
Preferred
Familiarity with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Experience with capital equipment design and production
Knowledgeable of laser powder-bed fusion or similar systems
FEA, Thermal, or other analysis skills
